Mike Winder was recognized along with two other Utahns for their public service work as one of America's 250 Public Service Champions.

Millcreek City Manager Mike Winder was recognized by Local Gov 250 and the National Academy of Public Administration as one of America's 250 Public Service Champions.

The list is part of an effort to celebrate Americans working in public service ahead of the 250th anniversary of America's founding this July.

James-Christian Blockwood, President and CEO of the National Academy of Public Administration, said of the recognized individuals, "There are many leaders working in government across the country who are deserving of recognition, and this year marks an especially important time for our country to honor them. These 250 Champions are truly special and make a difference in our everyday lives."

Winder has worked in public service for many years, and during his time with the city of Millcreek he has helped with the launch of the Millcreek Common City Center development project.

South Jordan Mayor Dawn Ramsey and Kearns Police Chief Levi Hughes were also included on the list, and the three Utahns will be recognized at an in-person celebration in Philadelphia this May.
