This event is a chalk art contest that is part of the Pioneer Jubilee event at the Heritage Museum of Layton. Participants must register for the event through the Layton Parks and Recreation registration site. There is a $15.00 entry fee, but the fee will be waived for participants ages 12 and under. (Contact the Heritage Museum of Layton for fee waiver). The theme for the chalk art contest is "My Hero." Heroes come in many forms. Sometimes our heroes don't know the impact they have on our lives. Heroes come in all shapes and sizes, human and animal alike. Heroes do not necessarily have to be from Layton to be honored in this contest.
